Everybody wishes to age gracefully like that Anil Kapoor or Madhuri Dixit. However, as one begins to age, we start noticing many prominent changes in the body. Some of these changes can be seen in the form of wrinkles and fine lines.

When these wrinkles and fine lines start appearing on the face prominently, we can notice the slow loss of the youthful and charming appearance.

Dr Hiren Bhatt, Nishtha Wellness’s chief Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon offers anti-ageing solutions to get rid of the fine lines and wrinkles of the face and restore a younger-looking look with the help of Botox and Fillers.

What is Botox?

Botox is a trade name for botulinum toxin A.  Botox is in use in the treatment of many neuromuscular conditions for the past many years. Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox) is a neurotoxin produced by the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum

Botox is an excellent choice to correct dynamic wrinkles that develop overtime on the face These include smile lines which appear due to smiling, frown lines which are a result of frowning, crow’s feet which occur because of squinting the eyes., etc.

Botox is a pretty simple, effective, and low downtime procedure in order to get rid of all of these issues and enhance the youthful appearance of a person.

How does Botox Work?

Botox is injected in very small quantities wherever one finds wrinkles and fine lines. Injection of Botox causes short term paralysis of these muscles. This results in flattening of the wrinkles. As the formation of wrinkles is paused, it helps to get rid of the wrinkles and fine lines present and give a youthful appearance to the face.

Which Areas Of Face Can Be Treated By Botox Injection?

Botox can be used to treat mainly the following issues:

  • Frown lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Forehead lines
  • Laugh lines
  • Treatment of bands on the neck and lips.

Although Botox is primarily used for wrinkles and fine lines, it can also be used to treat other medical issues like lazy eye, cervical dystonia, reducing muscle spasticity, hyperhidrosis, etc.

  • Calcium Hydroxylapatite:
This is heavier and denser than hyaluronic acid. This filler is injected deeper, underneath the skin, and does not usually cause immune or allergic responses because the material is usually found in bones.

Semi-Permanent Fillers

Longer-lasting dermal fillers typically contain thicker substances, such as the biodegradable synthetic filler known as poly-L-lactic acid. These types of soft tissue fillers are used to treat deep facial lines and they offer semi-permanent results.

Permanent Fillers

Permanent fillers are made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), which are microspheres that are not absorbed by the body. The filler also contains collagen and is only recommended for thick-skin areas such as the nasolabial folds.

The type of fillers that a person requires greatly depends on the analysis of their skin type, structure, and issue, and hand. This analysis is carried on during the consultation and hence Dr. Santosh Bhatia gives utmost i
